Washable Sanitary Pads for Girls

washable pad

Washable Sanitary Pad

Our easy to make Washable Sanitary Pads for Girls are environmentally friendly as they are washable and durable. With care, these pads and covers can last 2 years.

We designed the pads with 2 parts: a cover pad and a liner. The cover pad has a built in pocket which holds the liner snugly in place. We suggest flannel for the cover pad and liner covering and toweling for the inner layers of the liner. We also used snaps for the flaps as they are very easy to install.

The instruction guide includes a pattern for the pads. All you need is a sewing machine and you are ready to go.

Girls Dignity Kit

Dignity Kit for Girls

We developed a Dignity Kit for the girls that includes: 2 pair of girls panties, 2 washable sanitary pads with liners, a small bar of soap, a plastic baggie for soiled pads and a pamphlet about puberty and female development. The kit is assembled into a colorful bag that girls can bring with them to school during their menstrual period. The kits will be distributed to impoverished girls living in the rural communities. Our instruction guide gives detailed instructions how to make the bag.

KTCC School Book Bags

We have developed a Kids That Care Club (KTCC) Collapsible Book Bag that is easy to make and is the perfect way to give school supplies to the students in the Congo. These children live in extreme poverty and most likely have never received any school supplies in their life. Imagine living on less than $1.00 a day and having to walk for miles to get to school.  Our book bag will be a great gift, plus it will have new pencils, a sharpener, a notebook and a welcome card designed by you!

Our instruction guide will walk you through the assembly process. Instruction Guide

KTCC Welcome Cards

Remember when you got your first back pack?  It’s always a special moment when you get something that is just for you.  Imagine how surprised a student in Africa will be when they receive their new book bag and open it to find a colorfully designed welcome card that is signed by you!
